Together with good mechanical characteristics it also offers good acoustic & thermal insulation properties, and low water absorption with its closed cell structure. Divinycell P is particularly ideal for public transportation and civil construction applications, fulfilling normally used fire standards and regulations. The light weight of a Divinycell P sandwich makes it ideal for applications such as interiors and external panelling for trains, trams, buses and coaches. In the civil construction market, the good mechanical and fire properties allows it to be used for a variety of applications such as structural claddings, internal & external panelling, domes, canopies and roofs.
Divinycell P is compatible with most commonly used resins, bonding and manufacturing systems. With its high processing temperature performance and good dimensional stability at elevated processing temperatures, it can be readily used in infusion or with a wide variety of “industrial” medium temperature prepreg systems as alternative to press bonding or contact moulding. It is also easily thermoformed.
