Choosing by resin and working time

The catalogue includes MEKP for polyester resins and vinyl ester resins. Luperox K12G is described for long gel times in orthophthalic and isophthalic resins, useful for large parts in warm workshops. Benzoyl peroxide serves other formulations, including highly reactive and acrylic resins.

Catalyst and accelerator are different components

Cobalt octoate and DMA are accelerators, not peroxide substitutes. First identify the specified product and whether the resin is already pre-accelerated. Follow each system's sheet for dosage and addition order: never mix catalyst and accelerator directly.
