Aramid tubular sleeves
Aramid tubular sleeves for manufacturing tubes and composite parts. The selection includes aramid sleeves and a carbon/aramid hybrid variant; check each product's composition.
What to consider when choosing
Manufacturing tubular parts with aramid
The tubular geometry distinguishes these sleeves from flat fabrics and tapes. Compare the stated diameter and supply format with the shape of the part you will manufacture.
Check the sleeve's data sheet for the resin system and conditions of use. If you need to cover an open surface or a localised joint, fabrics or tapes may be a better fit.
Applications and material selection
For making aramid tubes, Twaron sleeves can expand and contract within each reference's stated diameter range. They are dry fibres to impregnate with resin, not cured tubes. Select the working range, not just the nominal diameter.
For open surfaces compare aramid fabrics; for joint bands, aramid tapes.
