Polyester resins for hand-laminating glass-fibre mat or glass-fibre fabrics to make parts, moulds and coverings.
For marine and sanitary parts, look for formulations documenting those uses. General laminates include white options. Choose glass fibres and resin by the part, distinguishing glass-fibre mat from fabrics; do not choose by colour alone.
For terraces, roofs and pools there is a flexible polyester resin for waterproofing laminates over prepared substrates such as cement, wood or metal. For polystyrene patterns, find the specific formulation that does not attack the foam, intended for subsequent mould making or decorative parts. The laminate and its surface finish are separate parts of the job: select both for the substrate and intended use.
Polyester resins for mould making allow selection by shrinkage control and laminate construction. Distinguish mould resin from part resin. Compare working time and documentation; the supplied catalyst quantity is not the mixing dosage.
