Topcoats for finishing composite laminates, with products for swimming pools, marine parts and wind turbine blades. Choose by coating function and substrate: a polyester finish for a laminate and a polyurethane coating for a blade are not interchangeable products.
If you need to finish the side of a part that was not against the mould, there are formulations intended for the reverse side of laminates. This differs from applying a gelcoat in the mould before making the part. The selection includes ISO-NPG topcoats listing swimming pools and marine work among their applications. When renewing a finish, identify the part's material and existing coating before choosing. A product for the reverse side of a laminate should not be assumed suitable for a pool just because it has the same resin type or colour. Suitability depends on each formulation.
