Polyester hand-lay-up resins include general formulations for glass-fibre mat and fabrics, plus products such as Crystic 489 PABTLV for marine and sanitary applications. For terraces, roofs and pools, Crystic R115PAV01 is a specific flexible formulation for waterproofing laminates over prepared substrates.
RTR4010PA and Crestamould Essentials 4005PA are intended for mould construction with shrinkage control. Recapoli PE-3680PA covers polystyrene for patterns and decoration. Within polyester casting resins, Recapoli 2196 makes small transparent parts, models and prototypes: different needs from reinforced laminates.
Among polyester resins for infusion and RTM, there are low-viscosity formulations and low-profile options for parts or moulds. Orthophthalic, isophthalic and DCPD identify chemistries, not universal uses. Before choosing, check each technical data sheet for the process, finish, working time and curing conditions.
To complete the laminate, select the glass fibres. If a surface finish is required, browse the gelcoats and topcoats and check their suitability for the chosen system.
