Resoltech 4080AL is a white epoxy paint that complies with the European food contact standard (NF 10/2011/EC) and is used for anticorrosive coating on various surfaces: cement, concrete, metals, etc.
Resoltech 4080AL provides excellent chemical resistance and is particularly used in tanks and machinery that will come into contact with chemical and food products, including oils and alcoholic beverages (up to 20°). Not recommended for acidic solutions.

Resoltech 4080AL provides excellent chemical resistance and is particularly used in tanks and machinery that will come into contact with chemical and food products, including oils and alcoholic beverages (up to 20°). Not recommended for acidic solutions.
It contains no solvents, so it does not impart odors or tastes to food or liquids intended for human or animal consumption. Widely used for the treatment of wine tanks.
It can be applied with a roller, brush, or airless spray gun, ensuring low-toxicity working conditions for users. In vertical applications, 4080AL BLANC can be applied in thicknesses up to 1 mm without risk of sagging.
On porous surfaces, it is recommended to use a water-based epoxy primer with a layer of 80 g/m2 of resin 1010 and hardener 1014 before painting.
The mixing ratio by weight is 100 g of resin 4080AL : 34 g of hardener 4085AL. The mixture should be thoroughly stirred to ensure homogeneity.
Gel time: 1 hour and 24 minutes at 23 ºC for a mixture of 70 mL (4 cm high). For a 2 mm thick film, the gel time is 3 hours and 40 minutes.
It is recommended to use flat trays when working with these epoxy systems to avoid exotherms and reduce gel or working time.
Consumption: 0.65 kg/m² for a 500-micron dry film thickness. You can reapply the product after four hours. If this time is exceeded, a light sanding is recommended.
To obtain maximum thermo-mechanical properties, follow the recommended curing cycle (14 days at 23°C or 16 hours at 60°C).
