ISO-NPG Topcoat is based on premium isophthalic-neopentylglycol polyester resin and is especially suited for products exposed to water and less aggressive chemicals at varying temperatures.
Key applications for ISO-NPG polyester topcoats includes swimming pools, marine, sanitary articles, wind energy, automotive bodywork etc.
The "TC 976 SMK" is a topcoat based on isophthalic Neopentyl Glycol resin, thixotropic and pre-accelerated, ideal for the production of high-quality sanitary articles in contact with water. It offers excellent long-term resistance to hot water and thermal shocks.
It is applied with a brush in long, even strokes until a film thickness of 0.6 – 0.8 mm is achieved. The topcoat and workshop temperature should be maintained between 15°C and 25°C.
Gel time at 20°C with 2% Butanox M-50: approximately 8-10 minutes
This product is not suitable for application in molds.
