GG 400 12K C24mm - X1 120BS-50%RW forged carbon prepreg is a recycled carbon fiber prepreg developed for aesthetic applications. It is made of the combination of non-woven fabric and chopped tow fibres impregnated with an epoxy resin system.

This product offers an out-of-the-ordinary surface appearance.

GG 400 12K C24mm - X1 120BS is formulated for autoclave and can also be processed using compression molding process.

Quite acceptable results have been obtained by curing this prepreg simply under vacuum (-950 mbar) and in an oven, out of an autoclave (OoA). Parts made in this way will require a subsequent varnishing treatment to remove the small surface porosity.

X1-120 BS Epoxy Resin Specifications

Prepreg Curing Conditions

GG 400 12K C24mm - X1 120BS-50%RW can be successfully polymerized by autoclave in a temperature range of 80oC y 130oC.

Recommended curing conditions: 90 min @ 130 ºC and 6 Bar pressure, (heat up 2-3 oC/min): please check the TDS available for alternative cure cycles.

Alternatively, it can be cured under vacuum out of the autoclave for 6 hours at 90 oC.
