3M Maintenance Free Half Mask, FFABEK1P3 R D Filters, 4279+ for use with Epoxy Resins

The 3M™ 4279+ maintenance-free reusable half mask belongs to the 4000+ Series and features integrated FFABEK1P3 R D filters. It is supplied ready to use, with no assembly or cartridge replacement.

It is designed for protection against certain organic vapours with a boiling point above 65 °C and good warning properties, inorganic gases, acid gases, ammonia and particulates. Selection for work with epoxy resins must be based on the contaminants present and the risk assessment for the specific task.

Use and maintenance

The filters are part of the mask and cannot be replaced. The mask may be reused under the conditions specified by the manufacturer; discard it when required by the replacement schedule, when the filters are saturated or clogged, or when it is damaged. Do not repair or modify it.

Nominal and assigned protection factors are not equivalent. To select the equipment and determine its use limitations, consult 3M's instructions and the applicable national guidance; do not apply a single exposure-limit multiplier to every country or situation.

The mask does not supply oxygen. Do not use it in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, in conditions immediately dangerous to life or health, or with unknown contaminants or concentrations. A proper facial fit is essential; facial hair that interferes with the seal prevents this fit. Follow the manufacturer's fitting, fit-checking and use instructions.
