Fine-particle mineral filler for adding to thermosetting resins, providing fire resistance. Also known as hydrated aluminum trihydroxide.
Among the commonly used fillers in plastics, rubbers, reinforced plastics, SMCs, DMCs, and other polymers, only aluminum trihydrate has flame-retardant properties and reduces smoke emissions while being a cost-effective product.

Ideal for the production of floor mortars using epoxy resins, polymer concrete parts, decorative resin pieces, etc.

Also known by its English acronym (ATH), aluminum trihydrate is used in polyester resins. However, due to the current importance of controlling smoke emissions and toxicity from other fillers such as antimony, it has found a significant number of applications in polyurethanes, latex, neoprene foam systems, rubbers, cable insulation, wall, and floor coatings.

Aluminum trihydrate acts as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant due to its thermodynamic properties. Its endothermic dehydration cools plastic and rubber parts and dilutes gaseous fuels with released water vapor.
