Mirka POLAROS RP 600: rotary polishing for composite finishes

The POLAROS RP 600 is designed for polishing gelcoat, topcoat, paint and clearcoat. Its compact, low-profile body brings your hands closer to the surface for controlled handling on composite parts, marine applications and automotive refinishing work.

Speed control and handling

The 750 W brushless motor provides adjustable speed from 700 to 2,500 rpm. A rubberised grip, push buttons and LED indicators help you adjust and monitor the working speed.

• Ramp Up: gradually increases speed when pressure is applied, helping to reduce polishing compound splatter.
• Ramp Down: reduces speed when excessive pressure is detected. It supports process control but does not replace the correct choice of compound, pad and polishing technique.
• Bluetooth and myMirka: provide access to settings and vibration monitoring through the app.

Choosing the compound and polishing pad

Select the compound, pad and speed according to the material, surface condition and required finish. Mirka offers wool and foam pads and Polarshine compounds for different stages. The attached guides cover fresh clearcoat and lightly scratched old clearcoat in automotive refinishing; do not apply those instructions to other gelcoats or coatings without checking suitability.

This is a polishing tool. Mirka does not recommend using it as a sander.
