Hybrid glass-carbon fabric Saertex Quadaxial 615 g/m² for high-performance applications where high mechanical strength and low weight are required. Made with two layers of unidirectional E glass fabric of 600 TEX and 200 g/m², oriented at ±45°, and two layers of 12K Grafil 34-700 WD unidirectional carbon with 0.7% A. The first carbon oriented at 0° has a areal weight of 135 g/m², while the second carbon at 0° is 63 g/m².
The flat tow (designated by 'WD') is the ideal fibre to use in applications where spreading is required, for example, in tape production.
Ideal for combining with epoxy, urethane-acrylic, or vinyl ester resins through hand lay-up, infusion, or RTM.
Type of thread: 12K (12,000 filaments per thread).
