Biaxial +-45º Carbon Fabric C-PLY™ SP BX250SPLY™ SP BX250S C5 12K HS/P11 250 g/m2, width 135 cm (SPOT)

250 g/m2 biaxial carbon fabric for high-performance applications requiring high mechanical strength and low weight. Manufactured from two layers of unidirectional fabric of 125 g/m2 each, oriented at +45° and -45°.
Features a powder epoxy sizing (10 g/m2) on one face to increase stability and prevent fiber separation. This is a Huntsman LT3366 sizing.
Produced using Toray T700SC 12K 50C high-tenacity carbon tow, with 12,000 filaments per tow.

Thanks to Toray’s general sizing (No. 5), this carbon fabric is suitable for manufacturing composite parts and tooling with epoxy, urethane acrylate, phenolic, polyester or vinylester resins by manual lay-up, vacuum infusion or RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding).

This fabric is stitched with an EC9 34 Tex Z40 glass thread in the 0° direction, contributing only 2 g/m2.

Reinforcement fibers labeled SPOT in the reference come from production surpluses of top-quality brands or may show small localized defects that do not significantly affect the manufacture of composite parts or molds. Examples of minor defects include a missing tow in a small area or a slight fold in the fabric. If present, they are always minor. The lower price more than compensates for these insignificant defects.
These are premium-brand fibers sold as second quality — a bargain for our customers!
