Resoltech HTG160/165 High Tg Epoxy Resin for Infusion

The RESOLTECH HTG-160 / HTG-165 resin is a high TG resin system specially formulated for the manufacture of tools and large structural composite parts requiring TGs and service temperature up to 140 °C.

Due to its low viscosity, high wetting properties, and effective air release, this resin system is suitable for the manufacture of structures and composite parts by infusion and injection molding processes. The HTG-160 / HTG-165 system contains no CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction) components or VOCs (volatile organic compounds) to minimize user exposure.

However, this system is not recommended for wet lay-up or filament winding applications because the HTG-165 hardener is sensitive to moisture. This system provides high inter-laminar properties thanks to its exceptional wetting properties even on aramid reinforcements. Laminates can be released from the molds after a low-temperature curing cycle (8h @ 40 °C), allowing the use of low TGs. Final thermo-mechanical properties will be obtained after a post-curing cycle defined in this technical data sheet.

IMPORTANT: It is necessary to mix the two components in the exact measure.

Mix very well in a clean container, properly scraping the sides and bottom, and then transfer to another clean container, where we will continue to stir. This is necessary because even if it seems that the products are well mixed, there may be unmixed parts on the walls and bottom of the container, which can cause the resin not to gel correctly in certain parts, resulting in a poor outcome.

This system is only suitable for closed mold work.
