Low-density balsa wood is ideal for the construction of high-performance composite laminates. It is compatible with most thermoset resins: polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, urethane-acrylic (Crestapol), etc.

Laminates manufactured from this wood offer high compression, flexural and shear strength.

Main application sectors include: sport boating, wind energy, transportation and any area requiring a lightweight material with high mechanical performance.

Supplied as square-cut sheets with a glass fiber scrim on the back to allow adaptation to curved shapes.
