Part and volume
Define shape and volume before planning the pour. Heat generation depends on more than thickness.
Wood and decoration / Objects + decoration
When buying clear resin for decorative castings, check that its data sheet covers inclusions and that the curing system suits the part size. A casting resin is not selected for transparency alone.

Before you buy
Define shape and volume before planning the pour. Heat generation depends on more than thickness.
Test the behaviour of the object and substrate in a representative trial before making the final part.
If adding pigments or fillers, check the products and conditions covered by the system's data sheet.

Documented selection
WWA ECO / WWB4 system for decorative castings, inclusions and sculptures.
Wet the surfaces of the inclusions with resin before casting to reduce trapped air. Also check the part's service temperature. For food or skin contact, request specific suitability documentation.

Documented selection
WWA (ECO) / WWB7 system for river tables and decorative castings of small or medium thickness.
Intended for thin layers. Adapt each pour to its geometry, mass and temperature; for thick parts, use a system documented for deep casting.

Polyester · clear castings and inclusions
Recapoli 2196 for casting clear parts and preserving objects in decorative inclusions with a glossy finish.
Check that the inclusion and mould tolerate polyester resin; polystyrene can deteriorate on contact. Assess shrinkage and heat generation at the actual part size.

Epoxy · thin decorative castings
WWAS/WWB4 for thin-layer clear decorative parts and small inclusions.
Choose a thin geometry that allows reaction heat to dissipate. Volume, temperature and mould material affect the result; check the inclusion's behaviour before making the complete part.
