Polyurethane prototypes and parts

Before buying casting polyurethane, define whether you need a model, housing or test part. Available equipment, geometry and the curing cycle help distinguish systems with different working processes.

Before you buy

Three points to guide your choice

01

Available process

PU-31 supports manual or machine processing. PR700 describes a vacuum-casting process.

02

Working time

Reactivity and mix size affect filling. Check the system before preparing the mould.

03

Part performance

Test values depend on curing. A visual prototype and a functional part do not necessarily have the same requirements.

PU-31

Documented selection

PU-31

PU-31 for prototypes, housings, miniatures and other moulded parts.

Before choosing

Have the mould and filling arrangement ready before mixing: this is a fast-reacting system. Vacuum is discouraged for this reference because it can generate bubbles without sufficient time to remove them. Also define the stresses and temperature the part must withstand.

PR700

Documented selection

PR700

PR700 polyurethane resin for manufacturing parts by vacuum casting.

Before choosing

The vacuum-casting process in the data sheet uses a preheated addition-cure silicone mould and post-curing for maximum performance. The product description also allows casting without vacuum; for that method, confirm the filling and curing conditions for your part.
