Hardness and loading
Compare hardness with the impact, compression and tear resistance your part needs. Two materials with the same hardness can behave differently.
Parts and encapsulation / Elastomers · adjustable hardness
When buying a polyurethane elastomer, start with the hardness and deformation the part needs. HPE-V2 allows different combinations, each with its own casting and curing conditions.

The document gives casting limits for each formulation. Check the data for the specific combination.
The data sheet requires dry substrates and covers manual or machine mixing, with degassing and post-curing precautions.

Documented selection
HPE-V2 is designed for elastomeric parts, moulds and patterns exposed to mechanical or thermal loads.
Work with a completely dry mould, control moisture and use a release agent compatible with the system. Complex geometries may need vacuum degassing; allow for the post-cure needed to achieve the highest mechanical performance.
