Castropox 1233 A/B is a low-viscosity epoxy system designed for injection processes such as RTM and SCRIMP. It is available with three hardeners providing three different gel times.

This epoxy system is suitable for producing high-performance laminates for the automotive industry, marine applications, wind turbine blades and sports equipment. Thanks to the special hardeners, the pot life ranges from approximately 0.5 to 4 hours. The recommended curing cycle is 6 hours at 70 °C, although higher curing temperatures between 80 and 120 °C may also be used, for example, 8 hours at 80 °C. The mixture has a very low viscosity, which can be reduced to 150 mPa·s by heating the resin to 30 °C. The resin system does not contain any non-reactive components. Vacuum processing is therefore possible even at elevated temperatures.
