Cosmetic Carbon Prepreg MTC275-C285T-4x4-42% RW Twill 285 gsm

MTC275-C285T-4x4-42% RW Twill 285 g/m2 is a carbon/epoxy prepreg designed to give excellent clarity and surface finish out of autoclave. 

Key Features:

• Weight: 285 g/m2.
• Carbon type: 4 x 4 twill.
• Roll Width: 1250 mm.
• Weight epoxy resin content: 42%.
• Cure temperature from 85°C.
• Service temperatures up to 100°C after postcure.
• Low CTE and shrinkage.
• Work life at 20°C: 28 days
• Storage life at -18°C: 12 months
• Very low VOC content – no added solvents during manufacture

Recommended Cure cycle: Dwell at 85°C for 2 hours ±0.5 (ramp rate of 1°C) followed by 130°C for 1 hour (ramp rate 2°C per minute).

Maximum service temperature for parts produced with this prepreg: 120 ºC.

The use of solid release film is recommended.
