CARBOTACK02-A Transparent Epoxy Spray Adhesive

CARBOTACK02-A is a transparent epoxy spray adhesive for composite materials. Available in 500 ml aerosol format. CARBOTACK02-A is an exceptional dual‑purpose adhesive. Based on modified epoxy resins, it is recommended for manufacturing composite parts using resin infusion, RTM and prepreg techniques.

It completely eliminates the risk of compromising the mechanical properties of laminates, allowing their perfect polymerization.

CARBOTACK02-A remains transparent even after high‑temperature resin polymerization cycles. Tested up to 200 °C. CARBOTACK02-A has been designed to allow the positioning of reinforcements and vacuum consumables during resin infusion or other lamination processes, including the critical placement of fabrics such as carbon fibre applied directly to the mould surface. CARBOTACK02-A can also be used to stabilize lightweight carbon fabrics, making them considerably easier to cut and handle without fraying or weave defects. CARBOTACK02-A provides medium tack and a short processing time. The rapid evaporation of solvents allows the mould to be closed without creating possible defects or undesired chemical reactions. Apply the minimum amount necessary to achieve the required hold.

• No visual contamination. Provides a thin, very transparent and defect‑free surface film on parts.
• No reduction in mechanical properties.
• No sticky residues on the mould surface or on the part.
• No colour change (yellowing), even after curing at high temperatures up to 200 °C.

Instructions for use:

• Shake well before use.
• Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free of dust.
• Apply a layer of product 10–20 cm from the surface.
• Wait 10–60 seconds after application, depending on air temperature and humidity, to position and fix the fabric.
• Apply pressure to achieve adhesion.

Storage:

• Store between 15 and 30 °C.
• Keep aerosols in their box for up to 12 months.
