RESOLTECH 1080S Epoxy Laminating & Infusion Resin

Resoltech 1080S is an epoxy resin designed for the manufacture of high-performance structural laminates, combining high thermal resistance and excellent mechanical properties with room-temperature curing.

The use of this novolac epoxy resin makes it possible to reduce the amount of fibre reinforcement required, resulting in more cost-effective, lighter and stiffer parts.
This resin is suitable for manufacturing both large composite parts (wind turbine blades, boats, etc.) and smaller parts (kayaks, automation components, etc.).

Variable mixing ratio depending on the type of hardener.

Available hardeners: 1082 slow, 1084 medium, 1086 fast.

Gel / working times

• 1083: 4 h 19 min for 70 ml at 23 °C
• 1084: 2 h 30 min for 70 ml at 23 °C
• 1086: 23 min for 70 ml at 23 °C

Parts can be demoulded without requiring post-curing. Maximum resin Tg after post-curing: 110 °C.

Colour: Colourless with a slightly yellowish tint

IMPORTANT: the two components must be mixed in the exact proportions.

Mix thoroughly in a clean container, carefully scraping the sides and bottom. Then transfer the mixture into another clean container and continue stirring. This procedure is necessary because, even when the products appear to be thoroughly mixed, unmixed material may remain on the sides and bottom of the container. This may prevent the resin from gelling correctly in certain areas, resulting in an unsatisfactory final result.
