Process and surface
Decide whether to apply in the mould or on the finished part. On curved or vertical surfaces, check that you can maintain an even film without sagging.
Coatings / Furniture · worktops · art
Before buying a clear finish, define the substrate and when you will form the surface. A coating is applied to the part; gelcoat is applied in the mould before laminating. Choose the appropriate process, film and exposure conditions.

Before you buy
Decide whether to apply in the mould or on the finished part. On curved or vertical surfaces, check that you can maintain an even film without sagging.
Exposure to light and weather must match the product's instructions.
Seal porous substrates where appropriate and follow the application window between coats.

Finishes for wooden surfaces, worktops and laminates, according to the substrates covered by each system.

Indoor coating
Clear Cast for coating indoor worktops and art pieces with a clear finish.
Intended for indoor coatings up to 3 mm per layer. On wood or other porous substrates, first apply 1010/1014 water-based primer to prevent air release and allow it to dry before coating. Do not mix components from earlier formulations with version V3.
Resoltech 1010 / 1014 Water-Based Epoxy Primer: Primer for wood and porous substrates, allowed to dry before the finish.

Indoor or outdoor topcoat
4000/4006 system for varnishing or applying a clear topcoat to boards, furniture and art pieces.
On wood or other porous substrates, apply 1010/1014 first and let the primer dry. Work in thin layers no thicker than 1 mm, and sand between coats if the previous layer has cured. It may sag on curved or vertical surfaces; for prolonged sunlight exposure, allow for a compatible UV varnish.

Epoxy · laminate finish
1070 ECO for high-gloss clear finishes on fibre-reinforced laminates.
Apply by brush, roller or spatula as a finishing film. On a cured laminate without peel ply, sand, clean and degrease before coating. Post-curing improves the finish's thermal performance.

Epoxy · worktop finishing coat
WWAS/WWB4 for clear finishing coats on worktops and decorative surfaces.
Prepare and seal porous substrates to prevent bubbles. Plan a thin finishing coat, accounting for working temperature and the total volume to be poured.

Flexible clear coating
Resoltech VLS UV for enhancing wood and other substrates with a clear, flexible, high-gloss coating.
A flexible finish from 1 to 4 mm. Seal wood and other porous substrates to prevent bubbles; on cured surfaces, prepare adhesion by sanding, cleaning and degreasing.
The surface layer is applied to the mould before the reinforcement.

Epoxy gelcoat · in-mould part surface
Clear epoxy gelcoat for forming the surface of composite parts inside the mould before adding the laminate.
Use the OSKAR’S M700/C release wax specified for this gelcoat. Apply the laminate before the surface layer cures fully, at the intended tack stage. On vertical walls, check that the film remains even.
OSKAR´S M 700/C Release Wax: Release agent specified for applying E7UV inside the mould.
